Karats Precision, Inc. is one of the oldest companies in Japanese machine tool industries.
Within the years, we experienced numerous events such as the two world wars, Japanese unconditional surrender, ups and downs of business situations, natural disasters and unexpected shop accidents, etc.
If we are asked about the key of the long business life, we would answer that we have continued to deliver the best products no matter how difficult our business situation was.
Now we have about 150 employees, which number is gradually increasing and technical development is advancing steadily. It is due to our strong will to be the number one builder in some specific products and to be the best solution provider for those markets.
"Make products which bring customer’s profits, but do not pursue builder’s profits." is the founder’s motto and it is still alive as our company policy.
Our products line includes large and extra-large lathe, large grinder, gear shaper, gear skiving machine and worm grinder, and all of them are globally competitive.
Today, Japan as well as Germany are leading the machine tool industry competing with each other and we hope to keep doing so in the future. In the company also, our willings to pursue higher mechanical technologies as well as electrical control technologies are getting stronger and stronger.
